Let the Interrogation Begin!!

1. What's the best part about working at Lenny & Larry's?

The fact that I can be myself. We're all here to make things happen and kill it, but doing it together as a close-knit team makes our day-to-day so much more enjoyable. I look forward to coming into the office every day to work with awesome people who aren't just coworkers to me but great friends. Our motto: Teamwork makes the dream work!

2. How is this company different from any other company you've worked for?

The "fun" aspect. I mean, we sell cookies for goodness' sake! When I first came onboard, Barry (founder of Lenny & Larry's) told me he wanted the company to be fun and for all the staff to enjoy working here. Since then, we've tried to create a balanced company culture that values employee satisfaction as well as performance. There's even a Cookie Committee of volunteers who help plan fun activities for the company including spirit days, birthday lunches, and soon our company picnic. Oh, and then there's the spontaneous nerf gun ambushes.

3. What's your favorite Lenny & Larry's product?

If you asked me a few months ago, I would have said the Blueberry Muscle Muffin!! My secret is to microwave it for 25 seconds, cut it into thirds, and then toast it. Now, there's another product that is tied with the muffin, but I can't tell you what it is just yet! Wait a bit and you will know exactly what I'm talking about...

4. What do you like to do in your spare time?

Brazilian Jiujitsu! I've trained for about 3 years and usually go 4-5x/week. It's like playing chess with your body! If you can get over the sweaty part and give it a try, you just might get addicted. Also, I just got a Kindle so I've been doing a good amount of reading lately. Some good books I've read recently are The Martian, Ready Player One, and The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People.

5. When did you start working at Lenny & Larry's?

I started around January 2016. We had a very lean team back then but it was also an extremely exciting time. It's cool to see how we've grown as a company over the past few years and I'm excited to see where we continue to take it.

6. What's something cool you would like to see with Lenny & Larry's in the future?

Lenny & Larry's Cookie Dough!

7. What were you like in high school?

Pretty busy. I was active and tried to do everything, which included playing 3 sports (tennis, basketball, and badminton) and serving as vice president of my class and president of a club I started to bring awareness to worldwide hunger.

8. What inspires you?

Both realizing my own potential and also empowering others to realize theirs. I come from a background in education so I guess that can't be helped lol.

9. What's one piece of career advice that you would like to give?

I actually have a few rules that have helped me both in work and in life:

-If you're gonna do something, do it right.
-If it takes less than 5 minutes, don't complain. Just do it.
-You have something to learn from everyone. Pay attention.

10. What's one part of your daily routine that you just can't do without?

Gratitude. It's easy for us to get tunnel vision in our day to day and just focus on our problems, but really, we have so much to be grateful for. For example, I take the train to work and when there are major delays or even cancelled trains, my whole day feels thrown off and it's easy to be upset, but I try to remind myself in that moment that I'm so grateful to have an awesome job to go to that I love and the privilege of taking the train to work. It's amazing how that simple mental shift can drastically improve your mood and attitude in an instant.
