Eggs and WheyWhy Protein?

Lenny & Larry knew in the early 90's that people didn't get enough protein in their daily nutritional plans. Lenny & Larry also knew not everyone was a 'bodybuilder in training' and consuming massive amounts of protein so you can be bigger than the person beside you, wasn't for most people. True bodybuilders represent a small segment of the population but they are amazing athletes and their hard work is second to none. Bodybuilders and hardcore endurance athletes definitely need more protein than most Americans to help muscle growth and repair tissues broken down in training.

People from all walks of life; teachers, construction workers, office athletes, kids, computer programmers and the superior aged folks still need added protein. Did you know that proteins are the essential building blocks for muscles, hair, skin, nails, blood and internal organs? Did you also know that proteins help build the cardiac muscle (heart)? Our bodies need protein to maintain our cells, tissues and organs. A lack of protein in our daily nutritional plans can result in slow growth, reduced muscle mass, lower immunity, and weaken the heart and respiratory system. Next to water, protein is mainly what your body is comprised of. It just makes sense to eat more protein.
How much protein do you need? No matter what anyone tells you, it depends on YOU!
